The entity that reported me submitted the report more than 30 days after they took their action. Does that mean they should not have reported it to the NPDB?
Reporting entities must report a reportable action even if the report submission is late. An entity's failure to report in a timely manner does not preclude the NPDB from collecting such a report beyond the 30-day time frame. Issues of timely reporting are handled through the NPDB compliance program.
